Workforce Development Programme Launch

29th January 2015 , Thursday, School of Information Technology had the pleasure of having Assoc. Prof Dato’ Dr. Mohd Sufian, External Assessor to launch the Oracle-Workforce Development Programme (WDP) and Mr Andy Ho, Education Account Manager, Oracle Malaysia to further explain about the WDP programme to the students.

Oracle-WDP addresses the growing shortage of skilled workers in the global technology industry and this programme provides education and certification programs that ensure students have relevant skills in an increasingly competitive workforce. The WDP enables educational institutions to offer an Oracle curriculum as part of diploma, and degree programs.

Dr. Sufian explained the importance of having a professional certification and encouraged the students to take this opportunity as this programme equips them the skills required by the industry and they will be ready for a a variety of entry-level Oracle job-roles as well as career advancement.

The launch was a success and all the students are looking forward to take part in the programme.
