PUBLIC PRESENTATION SUPREME SPEAK BY
STUDENTS OF DIPLOMA MASS COMMUNICATION
SEGi COLLEGE, SUBANG JAYA
Students from the Faculty of Creative Arts and Designs, SEGi College Subang Jaya, organised a Public Presentation program as one of the class projects at Galleria level 5 of Summit Tower Subang Jaya, recently.
With the theme Supreme Speak, this project was organized as a platform to enhance the importance of high level of confidence speaking in public. The project also aimed to expose students to be creative with style in public presentation, as well as extending relationship and creating sense of belonging among all SEGi College Subang Jaya students.
Roslan Othman, Head of the Faculty said that through this event the faculty is preparing the students to be professionally skilled in verbal presentation and be ready the face challenges when they have graduated and working in the industry. Additionally, it also helps nurturing them to be good researchers for finding relevant supporting evidences in all statements made and accountable in their speech. The skills that they learned will be beneficial for their future endeavors.
During the two hours event, 9 students presented covering variety styles of public presentation such as reciting poems, news casting, persuasive and debating too.
Christopher one of the students said “this event is a unique platform for students to experience managing event by planning for number of presenters, rehearsing for presentation, preparing refreshment and controlling the audiences. We are enjoying every minute of it”.
The event concluded with awarding of participation certificates to all the presenters.
“We hope the students were able to become better presenters with confidence in future”, said Nazha, advisor and lecturer of the program.
