Ms Sue Ann Chok, Deputy Principal operation, SEGi College Subang Jaya, presented a cheque worth RM5,000 to SMK Batu 8 Puchong, represented by Ms Teresa Chan, the School Principal. This is part of the SEGi College Subang Jaya Learning Inspired National Initiative Programme which aims to acknowledge the excellent performances of students and staff in various fields and within the secondary school sector. We believe that the achievements of these individuals should be recognized to motivate them, their schools, families and communities towards greater accomplishments in their respective areas. In so doing, this initiative also serves as an encouragement to the teachers and students, to keep striving to achieve greater commitment, dedication and diligence in executing their tasks.
The Learning Inspired National Initiative Programme is conducted through activities held at the school. For a start, this RM5,000 cash is allotted for SMK Batu 8 Puchong and was given in conjunction with Assembly Day.
Cash prizes and other awards for students and teachers were presented during Assembly based on the following categories:-
1. Academic Excellence
2. Students Achievement in Sports; Co-curricular activities
3. Committed and dedicated teacher in nurturing and pastoring students
