A total of 35 students from Faculty of Business and Accounting, accompanied by Ms. Saras and Mr. Farid, had opportunity to visit Bank Negara Malaysia, located in Sasana Kijang Complex, Jalan Dato’ Onn, Kuala Lumpur.
The objective of the visit is to expose students to the working environment, and at the same time students learn about money and finance system in Malaysia.
The event started with the introduction of Bank Negara Malaysia, role and function of BNM, ways of investment from investors, financing and counselling service, and financial sector service provided by BNM. Students were also guided by the officer of Bank Negara Museum to visit the Gallery.
In the Gallery, students learned about money through their interactive and computerised games, as well as interesting facts and information on money. There are Economics Gallery, Islamic Finance Gallery, Numismatics Gallery and Children’s Gallery. Besides that, our students were excited to view the Central Banks art collection of renowned Malaysian contemporary artists in the Art Gallery.
The visit ended at 1 p.m. Students enjoyed the trip and they hope to have more opportunities on this educational visit in the future.
