CPUS department held a trip to The National Museum on the 17 December 2013. The purpose of this visit to the National Museum is to instil better understanding of the Malaysian culture and history. The visit participated by 20 IEP students from elementary, intermediate and upper intermediate students and 2 lecturers from the CPUS department.
We assembled at ground floor at 8 a.m. and we left SEGi College at 8.45 p.m. The journey took 30 minutes as it was rush hour. When we arrived at the museum, the lecturer Ruthira, took the job to explain about the tour to the museum.
We spent nearly 2 hours at the museum. Then about 11.00 a.m. we took a break and brought the student to a cafeteria and ate early lunch. Later, we went to the planetarium across the street and we spent nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes exploring the planetarium.
The downside of this trip was the students got tired of walking around the musuem and they couldn’t find food that suit their tastebuds.
The students were excited to see many artefacts and carvings of the ancient Malay civilization. We left the museum at 1.30 p.m. and reached SEGi at 2.00 p.m. It was a fruitful trip to the museum as the students got to know that Malaysia is rich with its valuable culture.
